Founded in 2016 by former OU gymnast, David Finning, Pride Gymnastics Academy is home to Tulsa's leading USAG boys and girls competitive teams. Our mission is to create programs designed to develop elite gymnasts, and to give students of all ages and abilities the opportunity to learn gymnastics.
As a child, David trained in Tulsa, Oklahoma as a Compulsory gymnast. Once he reached Optionals, his parents had to make the incredibly difficult decision to move part of his family to Houston, Texas in order for him to train with an elite gym. From that moment, David knew that one day he wanted to start his own elite gymnastics training center in Tulsa so other families would not have to make a similar decision.
After competing for the University of Oklahoma under coach Mark Williams and coaching for numerous years in Texas and Oklahoma, David decided in 2016 that it was the right time to move forward with his goal of opening an elite gymnastics facility.

Maria Fernandez is a former teacher, coach, and a mom to an elite gymnast. Her son began training with Coach David when he was 8 years old. Maria and her family also saw the need for a local gym devoted to training top athletes. Together, Maria and David opened Pride Gymnastics Academy in order to give the Tulsa area an elite gymnastics training facility for both male and female gymnasts.

Since it's inception, Pride has grown rapidly. We currently have a broad range of recreational, preschool, and homeschool classes as well as highly competitive and nationally recognized USAG teams. We are extremely proud of the diversity represented at our gym and aim to make gymnastics available for all children.

From beginner recreational athletes, to those who want to compete at the highest level, Pride Gymnastics is committed to helping your child grow, develop, and succeed as kids and as gymnasts!
At Pride Gymnastics Academy students at every level will learn incredible skills, but most importantly they will build strong character traits as they work as a team and learn determination, mental toughness, respect, perseverance, and self-discipline.
We are incredibly proud of all of our athletes and are excited about the future of Pride Gymnastics Academy.
